TUFF TRUCK RACING GENERAL RULES

All participants are responsible for reading and understanding these rules. If ANY area is unclear, it's the participants' responsibility to contact race officials for clarification.

  • 1. Race officials' decision is final concerning any situation that is not automatically covered by these general rules.
  • 2. It is the responsibility of the competitor to read and understand all general and class rules.
  • 3. Race officials reserve the right to disqualify any participant without warning for any reason perceived as a threat to safety or sportsmanship.
  • 4. Drugs and/or alcohol are not allowed in the pit, staging, track or registration area at any time. Violators will be immediately disqualified with no warning.
  • 5. At any time that any race official believes that any persons or competitor is under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, that said person will be immediately disqualified and removed from race event.
  • 6. Drivers must be 18 years or older and provide a valid ID on the day of the event.
  • 7. All drivers must attend the mandatory drivers' meeting.
  • 8. Drivers are expected to immediately shut off their engines when signaled by a race official or at the first sign of a red light. No backing up is allowed at these times.
  • 9. Drivers must stay in the vehicle with their helmets on while entering or exiting the pit.
  • 10. No passengers allowed in race vehicles at any time.
  • 11. Vehicles will compete in the class assigned by race officials at inspection. Drivers who disagree with placement should remain in place for the race official's final judgment. Any driver who leaves during inspection for any reason will be disqualified with no refund of driver fees.
  • 12. Drivers must keep hands, feet and head inside vehicle at all times.
  • 13. All drivers/pit crew must sign a waiver understanding that they are participating at their own risk and that they will not bring suit against any officials, employee, event sponsor, property owner or Finish Line Productions. By signing the release form you agree to all rules set forth.
  • 14. All vehicles must pass tech inspection for before competing. If presiding officials determine a vehicle does not pass class rules, the officials have full right to not allow said vehicle to compete.
  • 15. At any time the race vehicle is running it must have an adult behind the wheel.
  • 16. If any driver is disqualified for any reason, no refund of entry fee or pit fee will be issued.
  • 17. No driver/vehicle can be registered to compete after 1st heat race start.
  • 18. Each driver may enter only 1 time per class.
  • 19. No vulgar language will be tolerated towards track officials or towards other competitors. This will be an immediate disqualification.
  • 20. Any rough housing or recklessness in the pit area will not be allowed.
  • 21. During race registration, race order and starting positions will be determined.
  • 22. Runs are measured by times. Ties will be broken by a follow up run.
  • 23. Any disqualification will extend to competitor, pit crew and race vehicle. At no time will a disqualified race vehicle be raced by another person. Disqualified competitors and pit crews may be asked to leave the race event.
  • 24. No one under the age of 18 allowed in pit area.
  • 25. All classes have different safety rules. It is the responsibility of the competitor to know, understand and follow these rules.

  • Race Order



  • 1. All race vehicles must be able to make their way to the starting line without being pushed, pulled or towed.
  • 2. Competitor has 3 minutes to get vehicle to starting line from the time they are called.
  • 3. Competitor must wait for starting flag to be given before starting run.
  • 4. At any time if the race vehicle leaves the track the competitor may be disqualified.
  • 5. Competitor must pass all mandatory points on the track.
  • 6. Competitor must stop immediately upon red flag being given.
  • 7. Vehicle must exit track as quickly as possible to allow the next run.
  • 8. If vehicle must be towed off the track, it is the responsibility of the competitor to hook up their vehicle for towing.
  • 9. Under no circumstances can a vehicle be worked on while on the track, starting line, or finish line.
  • 10. If for any reason a race vehicle stalls at starting of run they may be allowed to restart as long as their rear tire has not crossed the start line. The driver has 1 minute to restart their vehicle. If they can not restart vehicle in this time, they will be disqualified for that run.
